Flashback Friday #24 Blog Hop Guest Designer

Hello friends!
School is still on, I’m busy with test corrections, but, I could not refuse the offer for being the guest designer on my favorite challenge blog Flashback Friday, So, I’m here earlier than I thought.
Without further ado, if you came here from Alyssa’s blog, then, you’re in the right track. If not, head on to...

Flashback Friday Challenge is all about re-posting your first project, but NOT linking it up to your original post. It’s that simple that’s why I love it. You’re a genius Amy for coming up with this bright idea.
This weeks Flashback Friday challenge #24, is to flash back your first masculine card. The challenge runs from today May 25th to June 15th.

The challenge prize of 3 files of your choice in any format is being sponsored by...

Perfect Presentation
Also, the top 3 projects will be picked; one of them will be the prize winner and gets to pick the next Flashback FridayChallenge, while the other 2 also get to be guest designers.

Now, here’s my first masculine card…

This card was made using the Anthon Berg liqueur chocolate wrapper for the bottle and thick plastic from the backing of a clear stamp for the glass. HERE's my original post.
Now, head on over to Amy's blog.
Thanks for stopping by. Have a fabulous weekend!

Reposting my first card with a butterfly

Hello!
I'm back here after a long break. I've been very busy lately with school. Besides teaching I've also been appointed as the school nurse. The school had a nurse but she retired & they were without one for a few months. When I was asked to attend to a sick child, I entered the sick bay for the first time, didn't like the look of it & requested the principal to have it done up. So, I've been busy setting it up all over again & also teaching. I've requested the principal to relieve me from teaching as I don't quite enjoy it. At home my kids begin their 'AS' level, 'O'level & the youngest his Grade 7 final exams. So, I haven't been crafting at all. Just thought I'd keep my blog alive by re-posting my first card with a butterfly for a challenge at Flashback Friday

This was my very first attempt at quilling. I started with a butterfly using manually cut strips of fluorescent papers and gluing them together as they were white on the other side. As a result, the papers separated, resulting in this asymmetrical, untidy butterfly. I feel rather ashamed to share this, but that's what Flashback Friday Challenge # 23 asks for. And just to keep my blog alive in spite of my busy schedule, I thought I might as well share this. And I can proudly add I've made several quilled projects far better than this one. You will find them all in my gallery HERE
I hope to be more active here after May. Till then happy crafting to you all.

Happy Easter Monday!

Hope you all had a wonderful Easter Sunday. Apologies, for being MIA again so long. It was only because I resolved not to blog or visit any blogs during lent. As far as teaching is concerned, neither the principal nor the headmistress of the middle school are letting me go, so I’m continuing. I love the fact that I’m out of home after 18yrs and have some new friends too. I have been crafting on and off and hope to share those projects with you whenever time permits besides visiting you of course. Oh! I almost forgot. I have finally completed & published two new pages above. Do take a peek & let me know your opinion.
Here’s my CAS Easter card for you today which didn't picture well...

The image and sentiment were stamped using Gina K’s- Basket Blessings stamp set, coloured with both Crayola and Prismacolor pencils. The co-ordinating colours at the lower edge is just a strip of designer paper.
I’m entering this card into the following challenges:
