O Christmas Tree

Hello friends,

I'm here with my last card for the 'CASE Me a Christmas Card' event, and once again I CASEd the hostess Michelle Lupton. The main element on her card that inspired me was the multicolored triangular sections.

Products used:
#stampin'up paper, #altenew (embossing folder), Holographic paper, #uniko (sentiment stamp) & silver acrylic paint

Four coordinating papers were used to cut triangles to shape the tree, then embossed and glued to the card base. A star from my stash was covered with holographic paper, adhered in place and finished off with a stamped sentiment and a generous spattering of silver paint. Some larger dots were intentionally added to the tree.

Stamping w/ Watercolors

Hello friends,

Sharing this card I made for the 'CASE Me a Christmas Card' event. Here I CASEd Anna. The technique of stamping with watercolors was new to me, and I had to give it a try.

Products used:
#fbsstamps (image, scroll & sentiment), #justrite (frame die), watercolors & gold acrylic paint

The image was stamped with watercolors, then with gold acrylic paint, covered the panel with spatters and die cut the panel. The scroll was stamped with gold paint, the sentiment with ink, then fussy cut and glued. The die cut panel was adhered to the card base and covered with gold paper for contrast.

A Scene Outside a Window

Hello friends,

I still have a few more cards to share for the 'CASE Me a Christmas Card' event. Here I CASEd Angie. I loved the layout of her card, but I made a square one.

Supplies used:
#lawnfawn (images, dies & sentiment), #stampin'up (paper), #nuvo creativepens (birds), #rangerdistressinks (clouds, leaves & branch) & glitter glue.

A panel of watercolor paper was inked to depict clouds, adhered to the card base and the colored designer paper was glued over it to reveal an open window. The stamped, colored and die cut images were glued in place. The previously coloured and die cut stitched leaves were die cut again from the leaf in this set, adhered in place to show falling leaves, and finished off with a stamped sentiment.

Sparkly Snowflakes

Hello friends,

In today's card for the 'CASE Me a Christmas Card' event, I CASEd Glenda. The main element on her card was snowflakes. Seeing Nicki Baxley's neon snowflakes, I was inspired to pull out the paper I used for Iris Folding many years ago and had forgotten about for that shimmery look.

Supplies used:
#hellobluebird (dies), shimmery paper & #stampin'up (sentiment)

One snowflake each was die cut from the entire set. The tiny snowflake die was used to cut some halves from the leftovers, which were glued along the edges, and the tips of the largest snowflake were used to cut out the tiny circles and dots. Then finished off with a stamped sentiment.

Poinsettias w/ Pine

Hello friends,

I'm back with another card for the 'CASE Me a Christmas Card' event. This time, I CASEd Amy Tsuruta. The main element from her card includes the Poinsettias along a diagonal.

Supplies used:
#poppystamps (Poinsettia die), #newtonsnook (pine die), #mftstamps (background), #stampin'up (sentiment), #rangerdistressink & sequins

As I do not own a coverplate die, I masked and heat embossed the top section and created a subtle contrast with light ink blending. The die cut Poinsettias and pine leaves were arranged along the diagonal and finished off with a stamped sentiment and sequins.

Foliage Wreath

Hello friends,

I'm here with another card for the 'CASE Me a Christmas Card' event, and I CASEd the hostess Michelle Lupton again. I was inspired by the wreath set on one side with golden leaves sticking out.

Supplies used:
leafy sprig die (company unknown), #unity (sentiment stamp), #rangerdistressink & gold acrylic paint (spatters)

A circle was drawn off-center, and the green leafy sprigs were adhered along the circle. The golden leaves were loosely entwined with the green, and all were glued down. Finished off with a stamped sentiment and spatters in red and gold.

Supplies used:
#lawnfawn die, gems, ribbon from my stash, sentiment stamp (company unknown) & #prismacolorpencil (red edge)

The die cut sprigs were arranged in a circle, and added bling and the bow. The sentiment was stamped on a strip of cardstock and finished with a red edge on either side.

Colorful Trees

Hello friends,

Sharing a colorful and sparkly card I made for the 'CASE Me a Christmas Card' event, where I'm CASEing Tracey McNeely. I was inspired to use the die I'd placed in the unwanted lot of supplies for this card. The elements from her card include the colors, but in brighter hues and trees.

Supplies used:
#rangerdistressinks, #kellypurkey (die), #uniko (sentiment) & star sequins

A panel of watercolor paper was directly inked with the ink pads and then spritzed with water to allow the colors to lightly mix and react with water. Once dry, the panel was die cut multiple times until it was used up. The pieces were then arranged on the card base, star sequins were added and finished off with a stamped sentiment.

A Reflective Bauble

Hello friends,

I have a very sparkly card for the 'CASE Me a Christmas Card' event, where I'm CASEing Seeka. The only element from her card includes a bauble with a snowflake made using reflective paper.

Products used:
Designer paper (company unknown), #justrite dies (bauble & sentiment), #hellobluebird (snowflake), #papertreyink (bow), foliage die (company unknown), #echopark paper (bow), #averyelle (stamped sentiment), reflective paper, recycled shiny papers (snowflake & bow) & silver cord.

A frame die was used to die cut the bauble, and the inlay die cutting technique was used for the snowflake. However, the intricate pieces of the snowflake were left intact. The tapering end was cut off from the top and adhered to the card base, covered with designer paper. A silver cord was glued in place, then foliage and a bow that was offset on shiny paper. Finished off with the sentiment.

Challenges entered:
#BYSHC - anything Christmas

Have a lovely day.
