Kraft Paper w/ A Framed Flower

Hello friends,

It's been a while since I made a card with kraft paper. Sharing this card I made for the IG hop 'Encouraging Word'. ‭‭Part of the sentiment was handwritten to emphasise the meaning of the assigned verse 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18. The colours and design were inspired by 'AAA Colourful' and 'Addicted to CAS' challenges.

Products Used:
#pinkfreshstudio (Garden Party- flower & leaves & Garden bouquet- sentiment), #catherinepooler (inks) & #alinacutle (square frame)

Multiple flowers were inked through the stencils and die cut, but only one was used for this card. The sentiment was stamped and die cut. Part of the sentiment was handwritten to emphasise the meaning of the scripture verse. The sentiment was fussy cut, and only the word thankful was kept and adhered to the handwritten banner below it. The frame was adhered in place, followed by the floral arrangement, with the flower and leaves shaped to add some dimension and finished with the sentiment.

Altered Garden Bouquet

Hello friends,

Here's a card I made for the IG hop 'CASE It'. This time I CASE'd the beautiful card by Karin, a DT member of Pinkfresh Studio. The 'Garden Bouquet' image (actual size shown on the top left in the first pic) was altered and then used here.

Products Used:
#pinkfreshstudio (Garden Bouquet, Fancy Edgers & Scripted Sentiment) & #catherinepooler (inks)

The floral bouquet image was too large for this card. So, it was stamped and inked in selected areas, then die cut. The parts that were not inked were fussy cut along with some leaves that were added on one side of the bouquet. A panel of cardstock was inked to match the color of the largest bloom, spritzed with water to lift some ink, then adhered to the card base. Another panel of cardstock was die cut with the fancy edge and glued to reveal one-third of the colored portion. The bouquet and the stamped, die cut sentiment were adhered in place. As the stems didn't look good stamped in black, I went over them with a green colored pencil and tiny dots (negatives) cut from the scrap of the colored panel with the same fancy edge die were used in place of bling or sequins to finish the card..

Sketch w/ Stenciled Peony

Hello friends,

Sharing this card I made for the IG hop 'Stencil It' using the TSOT sketch whose graphic is towards the end of this post.

Products Used:
#pinkfreshstudio (Peony Fantasy stencil & Garden Bouquet sentiment), #catherinepooler (inks), #lilinker (square die), paper & iridescent sequins form my stash.

Following the sketch, four paper strips were adhered to the card base. The Peony stencil was masked to focus on the largest bloom, then stencilled through its layers. The stencilled piece was die cut adhered in place, and finished off with a stamped and die cut sentiment and sequins.

First Communion

Hello friends,

I recently got this die and couldn't wait to try it. Here's a First Communion card I made. The sketch design was the result of a triangular scrap piece of watercolor paper I didn't want to waste.

Products Used:
Chalice & host dies (company unknown), #catherinepooler ink, #simonsaysstamp (background stamp) & #stampsimply (sentiment)

The chalice was cut from gold cardstock, the rays from paper with a pearly sheen and the host from white cardstock. Ink smooshing was done on the watercolor paper. The background was stamped, the triangular piece was adhered in place, and the overhanging portions were cut off. The card was finished off by glueing the die cut pieces and finished off with a stamped sentiment.

Water Painted Hydrangea

Hello friends,

I made this card a while ago, but shared it for the 'Build your Stash' IG hop the first time.

Products Used:
#winnieandwalter (flower stamp), #wow (embossing powder), #rangerdistressinks (oxide), # LDRS (border die), sentiment (red rubber from my stash), tiny florets (die cut negatives from my collection) & #ranger (ice stickles)

A small panel of watercolor paper was stamped and heat embossed. Next, the entire panel was ink blended with oxide inks. Using a water brush, ink was lifted from the stamped areas. After letting it dry, the leaves, stem, and some florets were painted with oxide inks and the panel was spritzed with water to lift ink from the panel. It was then adhered to one side of the card, and a die cut border was glued on either side for some interest. The card was finished off with a stamped sentiment, little florets to match the large bloom and stickles for flower centres.
