Paper Funday GD: Pumpkin Spice & Everything Nice

Hello friends,

I'm excited to have yet another opportunity to be the Guest Designer at The Paper Funday Challenges. The October '26 challenge is Anything Goes with the Optional Twist: Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice. I decided to go with a floral arrangement in a pumpkin. Once I completed the card, I decided not to add a sentiment, as the card can serve as a decorative piece, and I intend to make a shadow box frame for it.

Products used:
#lilinker (square frame), #justrite (Oval Frame- pumpkin), #sizzix (Small Tattered Florals- flowers), #lawnfawn (Stitched Leaves- fall leaves), #bliss&brass (Half Tree- twigs, Build a Clematis- leaves, Greenery- spiky greens), #pennyblack (Ascending- ferns), gold leaves (company unknown), coloured cardstock, #crayola (coloured pencils- pumpkin), #catherinepooler inks (flowers, twigs), watercolours (fall leaves) & gold acrylic paint (spatters)

Except for the fall leaves, all the other elements were die cut from coloured cardstock.
Five ovals were assembled to create the pumpkin, which was then coloured to add dimension.
The die cut florals were coloured from the centre outward, shaped with flower shaping tools to add dimension, and then layered. The leaves and ferns were also lightly shaped. For the fall leaves, a panel of paper was watercoloured, then die cut and coloured with pencils for vibrancy.
For the arrangement, coloured cardstock was adhered to the card base, followed by the frame. The pumpkin was attached with foam tape. The rest of the elements were glued in threes, starting with the twigs, foliage, flowers and additional foliage until the arrangement was pleasing to my eye. To finish off, gold acrylic paint was added for some shimmer.

Mixed Media for WCMD

Hi friends,

Over a year ago, Papertrey Ink hosted a challenge to use three techniques. I mainly used ink blending, die-cut layering, stenciling and also spattering to make two panels, just in case something went wrong. I used one panel for THIS card and decided to use the second panel to complete my PHD (Project Half Done) for WCMD today.

Products used:
#papertreyink (inks, stamps, coverplate die cut -used as a stencil & sentiment), #nuvo (shimmer powders) & gems

The watercolor paper was inked with two colors, then spritzed with water and shimmer powders were added. The process created a magical transformation with a lot of shimmer, which the camera was unable to capture. This was followed by stamping leaves and rows of dots, then stenciling large half circles and diamond shapes using a die cut. After stamping some flowers in white, I generously splattered the entire panel with white paint. A layered die cut and stamped sentiment and gems completed the card.

A Paper Napkin Card

Hello friends,

Sharing this card I made for the IG Hop 'Bulid Your Stash'. The theme this month is Love- Engagement, Wedding, Anniversary. I had attended a golden anniversary celebration almost two years ago. I loved the paper napkins they used, brought one to craft and made use of it here.

The Original Paper Napkin

Supplies Used:
paper serviette, PVA glue, parchment paper, iron & gold acrylic paint

After peeling off two layers of paper from the serviette, glue was applied on a card panel and the required portion of serviette was cut and roughly placed onto it to create creases for texture. Some portions had open spaces which were covered with additional leaves. The panel was then placed between two sheets of parchment paper and ironed at a moderate setting. It was
die cut, then gold paint spatters were added to cover up some minute flaws. The leftover paint was applied to the die cut edge, then adhered to the card base.
