Autumn Leaf Wreath

Hello friends,

I'm here to share a card I made for the awesome Autumn Challenge at Lawn Fawn. I love the color of autumn leaves and had fun making and arranging them onto a wreath against an old, sooty wall.

Products used:
embossed background panel, #lawnfawn dies (stitched leaves), #rangeroxideinks (for the background), #rangerdistressinks (for the leaves), gold acrylic paint (for splatters), #papertreyink (sentiment), jute & hemp cords.

The background was an embossed brick-like panel sent to me as RAK. It was bright orange in color, so I covered it with black soot distress oxide ink until no orange was seen. The repeated applications made the panel almost lose its embossed texture, causing it to appear old and sooty. For the leaves, a panel of watercolor paper was directly inked with different autumn colors, arranged closely together. It was then generously sprayed with water until the ink started to move and blend with the other colors. Once dry, multiple leaves were cut from the panel. Credit for this easy technique goes to Jeniffer McGuire. For the wreath, two shades of hemp and gold cord were plaited, then wound around jute cord and adhered to the edge of a die-cut ring. The leaves were arranged on one side, and the wreath was adhered to the card base. Then finished off by generously splattering gold paint, the plaited hemp bow and a die-cut sentiment (adhered with foam tape).

Spatters & Stamping

Hello Friends,

It's been over a week since my last post, and the end of the month is almost here. Time is surely flying by. Sharing a quick and last minute card I made for a friend, and pictured in a hurry.

Supplies used:
watercolors, #fiskars stamp, #unikostudio (sentiment) & die cut bling.

Cotton balls were used to absorb the watercolor, placed on the card & hit with an acrylic block for each color. After it dried, the image was stamped and finished off with a sentiment & bling.

Crafted Alongside GinaK

Hello friends,

Sometime last month, I came across Gina K's video, which I'm sorry, I can no longer find to link here. As I watched, I got inspired to craft alongside and whipped up this card. It was the first time I crafted alongside, enjoyed it & may do so again.

Supplies used:
#catherinepoolerinks, silhouette stamp (company unknown), #uniko (sentiment) & sequins.

The oval stencil was one of my DIY ones, and the process is straightforward. Ink-blending with the oval stencil, stamping the image on the inks and finishing with a sentiment & sequins.

#timeout - Favourite season- spring
#wordartwednesday - anything goes

Psalm 61: 1-3

Hello Friends,

I made this card for 'An Encouraging Word Hop,' and the sentiment was inspired by Psalm 61:1-3

Products used:
designer vellum cards (background) & a computer-generated sentiment

The sentiment was printed after ink blending and ink lifting a section of pale green paper. The circular portion of the designer paper was cut, and the opening in the panel was adhered to the sentiment, which was then adhered to the card base.

Just Because

Hello friends,

I recently posted this card, and the leftover pieces were used for the flower petals of this card, just because I didn't want to waste the pretty papers.

Supplies used:
#laviniastamps (stencil background), #catherinepooler ink (spruce & rose petals), #alinacutle (for petals & stem), #lawnfawn (leaves), uniko (sentiment) & a gem.

Eight petals were die-cut from the leftover pieces of paper to make this flower. As the flower would be lonely, I stencilled the leafy background for company and did some ink-lifting. The card base was inked around the edges, and the background adhered to it. The petals were curled at one end, the other end was adhered in the centre, and over-under layering was done (one side of the petal was tucked under and the other over). Finished the card with the die-cut stem, leaves and stamped sentiment.

Paper Funday GD: Changing Seasons

Hello friends,

I'm excited to have the opportunity to be the Guest Designer at The Paper Funday Challenges. The August'25 #80 challenge is Anything Goes with the Optional Twist of Changing Seasons.
I made this card with die-cut fall leaves, which I had fun watercoloring. The gold shimmer on the card was difficult to capture in all the images.

Products used:
woodgrain embossing folder (company unknown), #lawnfawn (stitched leaves), #vervestamps (die for green fronds), #ldrs (label die), #fiskars (sentiment stamp), #rangerdistress inks (for the background), pan watercolors & watercolor pencils (for leaves), gold acrylic paint (for splatters) & sequins

For the background, the debossed side of the embossing folder was inked, then run through the Big Shot. This was followed by rubbing the ink pad over the embossed area and adhering it to the card base after inking its edges. The leaves were individually painted with watercolors, colored with watercolor pencils for vibrancy, then arranged along a diagonal and splattered with gold paint. The stamped and die-cut label was lightly inked around the edges, then adhered with double-sided foam tape and finished off with sequins.
