Hello friends,
I'm sharing a card I made for the IG Hop 'Build Your Stash', and the theme this month was sympathy.
Products used:
#pinkfreshstudio stencil (Overlapping Geometrics), #catherinepooler (inks), #ourdailybreaddesigns (cross die), #heroarts (sentiment), #wow (embossing powder) & #crealies (sentiment strip die)
Inspired by the colors navy and teal in the graphic below, the background was inked using only three of the six stencils. The open space in the center was smooshed with the ink left on the stencil. The cross was die cut twice in black and silver cardstock. The black cross was cut in half vertically and adhered to the back of the silver cross to reveal a dark edge on either side of it, then glued to the card base. The edges of the card were darkened with the blue ink and finished off with a heat embossed, die cut sentiment.

Hmm, I looked at the background and I immediately thought about how I could replicate it (without the stencil) - we will see. Love the drama of the silver layered over the black for the open cross die cut - an exquisite card
