A Red Sunrise

Hello friends,

Happy Mother's Day!! I do not have a Mother's day card to share, but a card I made for the 'CASE It' IG Hop. My CASE was Geeta as I loved the irregular patch of colour.

Products used:

#catherinepoolerinks, #tayloredexpressions (image & sentiment)

I used a marketing handout which was plastic coated to make the stencil and ink blended through it, then misted some water for ink lifted spatters. The stamped image is an old retired red rubber #tayloredexpressions stamp. I cut the circle around and carved a complete flower that was partly seen. The branch was extended using the tip of an eraser and finished off with a sentiment.

Inkblending & Inklifting

Hello friends,

I have another simple card to share with you today. The card was made a while ago but forgotten to post. The challenge at Cupcake Inspirations (graphic at the bottom) reminded me about the card.

A very simple card made by ink blending a panel of watercolor paper, then inklifting the color with a water brush to create clouds. The panel was adhered to the card base then stamped with the plane, the sentiment and birds.

A CAS Get Well

Hello friends,

I have a CAS get well card to share with you today.

Products used: 

#trinitystamps (bandage & heart die), #heroarts (heart stamps) & #cas-ualfriday (sentiment)

A very simple card put together by die cutting the bandage in light tan, a small piece in cream in the center and the heart over it. Finished off with a sentiment and tiny stamped hearts.

Kintsugi on Paper

Hello friends,

I've been wanting to try Japanese Kintsugi on paper and I thought this form of art would be perfect for a get well card. So here's my card more inclined for a person with a cardiac ailment.

Products used: 

#catherinepoolerinks, gold acrylic paint, #lawnfawn (heart die) & #stampin'up (sentiment)

A piece of watercolor paper was ink blended and torn to pieces. The edges of the torn pieces were touched with gold paint, then glued together, die cut and again touched with gold paint. The cardiac rhythm was drawn in the background and the heart was glued in place. The card was finished off with gold splatters and the sentiment.
