A Quick CASE

Hi Friends,

Today I'm sharing a card I made for the CASE it hop on Instagram. Michelle Lupton's elegant and simple card inspired me and urged me to use the never-before-used die I've been hoarding for years, and lots of bling, which I'm always reluctant to use much of.

Snuggie Bunnies

Hello Friends,

It's been a couple of years since I last played at MFT due to a five-year hiatus. Colouring has never been my forte, but this time I was determined to step out of my comfort zone and ink up those cute MFT stamps I'd never used before. It took me a while, but I was happy to see those images come to life.

Products used:

#mftstamps #ranger distress inks (mowed lawn & salvaged patina) #fabercastell watercolour pencils (for images), #staedtler fineliners (for flowers) & gold embossing powder (for butterfly wings) 

Both sections of the background were first watercoloured using distress inks. Then the sky was lightly ink-blended, and ink-lifting was done to depict clouds. For the grass, ink smooshing (using a DIY smoosher inspired by NBCards) & ink-lifting. The images were fussy cut.

First Holy Communion

Hi friends,

This card was made for the Encouraging Word hop, for which the scripture verse designated was Nehemiah 8:10. My creative response was a First Holy Communion card to the last line of the verse: "The joy that the Lord gives you will make you strong." The sacrament of Holy Communion is one of divine joy and spiritual strength - joy in receiving Christ Himself and strength through His presence within.

Products used:

#tayloredexpressions (Gilded Oval embossing folder & basic pierced ovals)

#craftsmart woodblock stamp for rays (now used in the Misti for stamping ease) #catherine pooler ink (limoncello) gold cardstock & gold glitter.

The chalice was hand-drawn & cut. The IHS on the host was done with an embossing tool & the sentiment was computer-generated.

Sympathy & Prayers

Hi friends,

I'm back with a sympathy card. The flourishes on this card were stamped perhaps 10 years ago before I owned a Misti and it didn't ink well. Now, that I'm trying to complete several PHD's, I thought of saving this card by ink blending over the stamping for a dull look.

I'm sharing a card I made for the blog hop ' An Encouraging Word'. I found this printable verse online, which I coloured with six colours of the rainbow as I wanted a bright look.
