Colouring with Bleach

Hello,

When I returned to crafting after a very long hiatus last year, I searched for project videos using distress inks. @jennifermcguireink's video caption "Colouring with Bleach" was enough to spark my interest and CASE her card. 

Products used:

#ranger distress ink (Prize Ribbon), #honeybee (floral stamp), #papersmooches & #winniewalter (sentiment stamps), embossing powder, bleach, watercolour paper

The watercolour paper (previously painted blue) was distress inked, clear heat embossed the floral images, then painted them with bleach, which changes the colour of the images to a softer blue. A fun technique!

The Hawaiian Coral Flower

Hello,

Today I'm sharing a card I made for a blog hop where we focus on building our stash for everyday occasions, and this month the theme was anniversary. I made one card using Freshly Made Sketch #684 below. I enjoy creating simple cards, and this sketch was up my alley.

Products used:

#altenew stamps (image & sentiment), #mft die (one side of the bookmark die) 

#catherinepooler inks, #scoring board #black paint splatters 

The card base was scored, a die-cut scalloped strip was added to fit the sketch, then finished with a stamped, die-cut flower, a sentiment and splatters with a very thin brush.

Everyday Is A Gift

Hi there,

I'm sharing a card I made for the blog hop ' An Encouraging Word'. I thought this design would be easy, but it wasn't because the stamps were small. If I ever repeat this design, it will surely be one with larger stamps.

Spring Flowers

Hi there,

Today, I'm sharing tanother card I made several months ago, using the Messy-but-artsy technique, I learnt from a tutorial by @jennifermcguireink.

#winnieandwalter stamp set, #spellbinders border die, #papertreyink sentiment die, #rangerdistressinks, decorative scissors & iridescent sequins

#neglectedstuff - these stamps from the set were inked for the first time & decorative scissors were used after years.

Hello,

Happy Easter! I'm here to share a card I made for a recent hop.

Products used:

#darice embossing folder (after embossing, the cross was cut from the centre so the relevant words were not hidden with the square mat by extending it vertically & horizontally) 

#craftsmart woodblock stamp (was peeled off from the block & the sentiment was separated so I could position it to fit the square mat & temporarily adhered to the Misti for ease in stamping)

#ourdailybreaddesigns (dies) #catherinepooler inks (for ink blending & stamping) 

#nuvopen, #nuvo crystal drops & #staedler fineliners (for hand-drawn flowers).

#neglectedstuff - woodblock stamp was not used in a project as I could not get a crisp image in one go, so I used it as mentioned above.
