Golden Ordination Anniversary

Hello!
    Today I'm sharing another anniversary card I made in Jan for our old rector and family friend.

Supplies used:
Lil' Inker Designs-stitched square mats
American Crafts-DIY thickers (50)
gold glitter
rub on sticker (years)
gold ribbon
double sided foam tape
    Inspiration for the computer generated words on this card were also from Printery House. The die cut printed panel was adhered with foam tape, over a piece of gold ribbon across, then added the DIY thicker and the rub on sticker. Gold glitter was used to cover the thicker.

Silver Ordination Anniversary

Hi!
    Calligraphy was a hobby I developed while in my early twenties. I bought a book and a pen to learn the art and used to write the sentiment in basic calligraphy, when I first started card making. Reused the pen after 22 years for the lettering on this card I made for the rector of our parish in December. It was a last minute make...so much so, that I pictured it on the cutting mat.

Supplies used:
water-colour paper
Ranger distress inks
Lawn Fawn-stitched journaling die
Platignum calligraphy pen
silver ribbon
sticker (25)
    The background effect was achieved using the smooshing technique on water-colour paper. Wrote the sentiment, die cut the panel and finished off with ribbon and sticker. The inspiration for the words was from Printery House.

Hello!
    I'm back with a card I made this evening for a challenge at Paper Smooches...black and white with a pop of colour. I do not own any PS products, so made this card using their freebie. I have been wanting to try zen-tangling for quite a while and finally did so today.

Embrace Beauty

Hi!
    Today my mojo was in full swing and I made two cards. This one is for the CAS and sketch challenge at Taylored Expressions.

Supplies used:
Water-colour paper
Taylored Expressions-Embrace beauty (image & sentiment)
Ranger-distress ink-mustard seed
Ranger-Silver embossing powder 
fluorescent water-colours (tiny plastic tubs from India make unknown) 
Crayola felt tip markers
Martha Stewart-doily lace edger punch
fluorescent A4 paper
    The image was stamped on water-colour paper with distress ink. This was done to achieve the no line water-colouring effect (first attempt). The image was then painted. The set of water-colours also contained a tub of glittery silver paint which was used for the dragonfly wings while its body was coloured with felt tip marker. The image was cut around the outline of the stamp adhered to the card and the body was extended slightly as it looked incomplete. The punched edge was glued to the lower half of the card base and the top half was shortened to reveal the edge. Sentiment was heat embossed.
