Stenciling w/ Glitter

Hello friends,

Sharing this card I made for the IG Hop, 'Stencil Fun'. I tried this technique for the first time. I liked that the process was quick, but I didn't enjoy clearing up the glittery mess in the end.

Products used:
#dreamweaverstencil, glitter, sticker paper, 1/8th" wide dbl sided tape, #uniko + #cardsTV (sentiment) & bling

A panel of sticker paper of the same dimensions as the stencil was glued on the card base, the release paper was removed, and the stencil was placed over it. After masking all the flowers, green glitter was poured over the stencil, then burnished with the release paper. Next, the flower masks were removed, and pink glitter was poured over and burnished. The stencil was gently peeled off, and white glitter was poured over and burnished. A strip of tape 1/8th" wide was adhered on the left and covered with black glitter. The card was completed with stamped sentiments and bling.

One Stamp, Multiple Inks

Hello friends,

Sharing this card I made for the IG Hop, 'An Encouraging Word', inspired by Laurel Beard, at the Stash Summit. This technique made me ink my favourite Swallowtail Butterfly stamp after 8 years.

Products used:
#stampin'up (butterfly stamp), #catherinepoolerinks, #wow (clear embossing powder), #heroarts (sentiment stamp) & sequins

The stamp was inked in sections and stamped each time, from lightest to darkest color. Water was then spritzed on the stamp and stamped on the inked image for a vibrant, watercolor effect. It was heat embossed with clear powder, then finished off with some ink smooshing, a simple sentiment to capture the meaning of Galatians 6:2, and sequins.

Challenges entered:
#paperfunday - anything goes
#stamplorations - anything stamped goes
#wordartwednesday - anything goes
#neglectedstuff - butterfly stamp inked after 8 years
#tripleB - butterfly
Have a great day.

Appreciation w/ Heart & Flowers

Hello Friends,

Today, I'm sharing a card I made for an IG hop, 'Build your Stash'. The theme for this month's hop was appreciation. Last week, I attended the Stash Summit for some inspiration. This is the first card I made, inspired by Nicki Baxley

Products used:
#darice (embossing folder), vellum, #lawnfawn (heart & bling dies), #tayloredexpressions (flower dies), leaves (company unknown), #winnie&walter (sentiment stamp)

The background was embossed, the die cut flowers were shaped for dimension and arranged over the vellum heart with leaves. Finished off with a stamped sentiment and die cut bling.

Challenges entered:
#paperfunday - anything goes
#timeout - heart, red, sparkle
#pammiesinkypinky - anything goes

Embossing Fun

Hello friends,

Happy New Year!! I'm back after nearly two months to share a card I'd made some time ago, but never shared. It was made using the leftover scraps from an ink blended background panel I'd made for THIS card.

Products used:
#catherinepooler inks, #sizzix (embossing folder), scalloped circle (sent as RAK), printed sentiment & #nuvo (crystal drops)

The leftover ink blended scraps from a previous project were glued on a 1.5 inch wide piece of white cardstock, embossed, then rubbed the raised embossed design with a white ink pad and finished off with a sentiment and crystal drops.

Challenges entered:
#wordartwednesday - anything goes
#paperfunday - anything goes
#timeout - favourite technique (embossing)
#simplyCAS - CAS

Have a great day.
