I'm back again after another blogging hiatus. Just can't help it. Besides work, there's so much going on that hardly any time is left to craft. Today, I took a break as I couldn't resist joining the MFT Card Design Superstar contest in my favorite category...CAS, but used kraft cardstock, instead of my usual white. THIS was my entry last year, it was extra clean and simple so I went a little overboard this time and I hope it will still count for a CAS entry. Here are some pics taken from different angles using my cellphone outdoors. Yet, they don't do enough justice especially to the gorgeous gems, the hues of which blend beautifully with the colours on the card.
Supplies used:
MFT die-namics -Fancy flourishMFT stamp -Thanks so very much
Distress Oxides-broken china, candied apple, fossilized amber
brilliance pearlescent pigment ink-coffee bean
Xyron creative station lite with adhesive
Hero hues gems
gold acrylic paint
dip pen
Distress oxide inks were randomly blended on a panel of watercolour paper, sprayed with water, run through the Xyron machine for adhesive, then through the Big Shot. Two of the die cuts were adhered whole, while sections of the third were used for continuity and to fill up the space. Splatters of gold paint were added, the sentiment stamped, then outlined with a dip pen and acrylic paint. Finished the card with a couple of gems.

This card will be sent to my friend from school who just takes my place and does whatever has to be done for my daughter in USA as I'm miles across the oceans from her. Greatly blessed to have such a gem of a friend.
Have a great weekend. While those in the path of Hurricane Florence and Typhoon Mangkhut stay safe. Prayers asured.
