Celebrating Papertrey Ink- 2009

Hi !
I'm back, trying to catch up with Papertrey Inks challenges. This card is for the 2009 challenge.

Supplies used:
Papertrey Ink- Woodblock prints
                        Shaped sayings-birthday die
MISTI

The inspiration for this card was a combination of two cards below. One for sketch and the other for the bright colour. The image was stamped repeatedly to create a background. The panel was mounted on a red card base then finished with a die cut sentiment.

Celebrating Papertrey Ink- 2008

Hi!
I'm back with a card for the Papertrey Ink 2008 challenge. I'm happy with how my card turned out and I hope you like it too.
Supplies used:
Papertrey Ink- Spring woods stamp & dies
Stampin' Up (sentiment)
pearl metallic gold outliner
blue chalk pastel
MISTI
The inspiration for this card was Betsy Veldman's card below using the 2008 Out on a limb set. The two branches of the Spring woods set were stamped using the MISTI, additional flowers and leaves were stamped to make it appear full. The bird was stamped, die cut and glued in place. Finished off by adding the flower centres, a dash of blue around the bird and the sentiment.

Celebrating Papertrey Ink- 2007

Hi there!
Papertrey Ink is celebrating their 10th birthday with daily challenges highlighting their products since 2007. If the players own that product, they are to make a new project using it. If not, players are required to draw inspiration from the projects highlighted, and adapt Papertrey products they own. Although I own a few of their products I hope to adapt and join in all of them. Here's my first for 2007 challenge.

Supplies used:
Papertrey Ink- Doodlie-do
                        Spring woods (sentiment)
Crayola colour pencils
pearl metallic gold outliner
The inspiration for this card is Nichole Heady's 2007 card shown below, the blooms and leaves were stamped, coloured, fussy cut, glued on a panel of kraft card stock. Two flowers were stamped directly on the panel and the flower centers were touched with an outliner. After adding the sentiment, the panel was adhered on a mustard coloured card base.
I'm also entering this card into challenges at...
Hope to be back soon.

Pop-Up Basket of Roses

Hi There!
Happy Valentines Day to you all. I'm here to share a card I made using a much longed for stamp set I finally got myself. I also wanted to try this pop-up box card, which I adapted to make a pop-up basket card instead. Besides time, a lot of love went into making this card which will go to my mum on her upcoming birthday. I hope you like my basket of roses.

card folded flat on the envelope

Supplies used:
Altenew-Vintage Roses stamp set
inks- Tsukineko-pearlescent poppy, rocket red & an office stamp pad for roses
Hero Arts ombre-lime to forever green for leaves
giftwrap paper for basket
mesh tube flex ribbon for handle
tag-recycled from a gift received
MISTI, precision scissors, glue
showing the additional calyx & stems

the basket template with 5 strips for layering

The roses and leaves were stamped multiple times...the roses were stamped with a MISTI and the leaves were hand stamped. Then all fussy cut. A template was made for the basket, to fit a 7.5" x 5.5" envelope...each side measuring 3.5" x 2.5". The cane design gift wrap paper was adhered on kraft card stock the template traced over it, then cut. A strip of the same paper was adhered at the top edge with the cane design running vertical then colored with a marker  for contrast. 5 strips 0.75" x 4.5" were cut for the layers, scored at 0.5" at both ends and folded to form tabs. After scoring, folding and gluing the basket, the tabs of the 5 strips were glued on two opposite sides. The flower arrangement was completed and finished by attaching the handle and tag.

My card seems to fit into several challenges. So, I'm entering this card at...
