Belated Christmas Wishes

Hello my friends!
I had planned to wish you all a Merry Christmas with this card I'll be sharing today, but unfortunately windows crashed completely & I was unable to get here earlier. Anyway, I'm now here with belated wishes hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas.
Meljen's digital image  - Frosty Face was used to make this shaped card. Colored card stock papers were used for the hat, nose and holly leaves. The leaves were paper pierced for dimension and painted with glitter glue. The berries are tiny @ 3/4cm styrofoam balls cut into half and painted with red glitter glue. The ribbon is holographic curling ribbon. The entire face is covered in white glitter and completed with googly eyes. I made this card for my niece. As she has a 4yr old brat who would likely ruin it, I added gold cord so she could hang it up somewhere. The card was hung and pictured against my Christmas tree.
Here's another image which shows the glittery face more clearly.
I'm entering this card into Meljen's Challenge - No rectangle cards
Finally, a heartfelt thanks yo you my friends for making this year a special one for me. Your visits, encouraging comments and friendship, although just in cyber space means the world to me. I hope the New Year will be a blessed and a peaceful one for all.

Fabulous Featured Blogger on Getting Cricky with K. Andrew

Hello!
Today, I feel honored to be the featured blogger on Getting Crickey with K. Andrew’s blog. Thanks Kristal for the lovely stamp set. Here’s a card I made especially for this post.
The swirly tree and pot are drawn & cut manually from glittery handmade leather paper from India. A flower shaping tool was used to give the pot some dimension (not clear in the pic). The rim was rounded and the pot slightly curved. Both were adhered with foam tape. It was then  adorned with silver holographic star sequins. The main star on the top is a large gold sequin with the same silver holographic one glued to it. The decorative tape above has been in my possession for 18 years and just used once before. Don't even know what it's called. Perhaps it’s the washi tape? The sentiment is from K. Andrew Designs -  Winter Wishes stamp set.
Now how do you like this pic taken from an angle?
Doesn’t it seem like the multicolored tree lights are on?

The Celebrating Hobbies Challenge - Reading

Hi!
Today I’m here to share a card I made for the Moxie Fab Challenge – Celebrating Hobbies. Moxie Fab has the most unique challenges with ample time to think and create. When I came across this challenge, I thought this would be an opportunity for me to make something for my daughter, Alisha.
Alisha now 17, has been an avid reader from a young age. A very good habit and hobby I agree, but not to the extent of being totally unaware of what’s going on around her and much more!!! Around 4 yrs ago she related to me that, she was reading a book in her school library during break and lost track of time. The bell had rung, but my DD was lost in the book. Fortunately, the librarian saw her there and told her it was time for class. During holidays if she has had loads of books to read, she is happy. If not, her holidays were boring or the worst ever.  Today, she just finished her AS level, mid-term exams and yes she's reading.  She’s honestly bananas about books and here’s the card I made for her to celebrate her hobby - Reading.
The inside of the card reads “Have a Happy Holiday!”
Here's a close up and side view of the bookmark.
The banana was drawn, colored with chalk pastels, sprayed with the fixation spray and cut out. I added googly eyes and a feather, just to make it look more interesting, adhered it to the card with foam tape (not very tacky) so it could be removed from the card and used as a bookmark. The sentiment outside is printed and the inner one stamped with a DRS Designs Stamp.   Hope you like my creation.
Besides the Moxie Fab Challenge, I’m also entering this card for a bookmark challenge on The House that Stamps built

Frosty Wishes

Hi!
I was supposed to be here sooner, but unfortunately Windows crashed and I have to get it formatted all over again, hopefully tomorrow. Lost all my bookmarked sites :(  Anyway, here’s my second simple Christmas card.

The ribbon is sheer and wired, from Holiday Inspirations, adhered on a strip of white cardstock for contrast. The die cut snowman was lightly colored around the edges in blue and the face stamped using  Gina K’s – Hip to be a Square stamp set. The scarf is a bit of plaid ribbon from my stash. I pulled out a few horizontal threads at the end to show tassels, adorned the hat with a bit of bakers twine and then adhered it onto the ribbon with foam tape. The sentiment is from K. Andrew’s - Winter Wishes stamp set.  Stamped directly on the ribbon and on a punched tag.

My first Christmas Card

Hi!
December has just begun and it's already the 6th. How time flies!! So far all my cards are mailed and the tree is ready. But still there's so much more to do. Please excuse me friends I won't be visiting you'll until after Christmas. I just hope I'll be able to get here now and again to share my Christmas crds with you. Now, here's my first CAS card which I mass produced.

I used my kids spiral sketch, an olive green Staedtler triplus fineliner and a green glitter gel pen to form the wreath., then colored it in with a Crayola color  pencil. The berries were made using a 2way zig glue pen and glitter. Finally added a satin bow and bakers twine. The sentiment is a K.Andrews Design Stamp- Winter Wishes
See you soon.
