Hi friends,
This card was made for the Encouraging Word hop, for which the scripture verse designated was Nehemiah 8:10. My creative response was a First Holy Communion card to the last line of the verse: "The joy that the Lord gives you will make you strong." The sacrament of Holy Communion is one of divine joy and spiritual strength - joy in receiving Christ Himself and strength through His presence within.
Products used:
#tayloredexpressions (Gilded Oval embossing folder & basic pierced ovals)
#craftsmart woodblock stamp for rays (now used in the Misti for stamping ease) #catherine pooler ink (limoncello) gold cardstock & gold glitter.
The chalice was hand-drawn & cut. The IHS on the host was done with an embossing tool & the sentiment was computer-generated.
Challenges entered:
#wordartwednesday - anything goes
#paperfunday - dry embossing
#craftycalender - add a sentiment
#neverb4usedstuff - TE Oval embossing folder & pierced oval die
Have a great day.
Leanne

Ohhh, such a nice card Leanne! It looks very professional and yet elegantly handmade as well. Beautiful sentiments as well. My favorite part is the metallic chalice. Good for you for creating that from scratch! Thanks so much for entering this over at Word Art Wednesday! We really appreciate your talents! :)
This is just lovely, Leanne! It will be a treasured keepsake. Thank you for inspiring everyone to use their NBUS! Hugs, Darnell
