Hello!
Here's a new card to welcome a new baby girl and a warm welcome to all my new blogging friends.
I enjoy making shaped cards. When I first began blogging, I’d seen a simple ‘U’ shaped bib card on some blog and felt like making one my own way, when my cousin had her baby, 'Jane'.
To make this, I drew a ‘U’ shape, and then drew scallops around it using the template of different sized circles as a guide. Drawing the inner shape was no easy task at all. I have no clue as to how many paper drafts I made and discarded until I was satisfied. Yes, I’m a very determined crafter. If I have pictured a certain way of doing something, I have to do it, no matter what. Well, having done my paper drafts, I cut the outer shape on a piece of folded card stock and the inner shape on a chequered paper recently sent from India, using my only and favorite tool “scissors”. New rub-on transfers sent from Canada
For the inside, I used paper of a lighter shade to print the verse, made and cut the shape in the same way and lightly highlighted the scalloped edge with a color pencil.
